Last year we put our deeply chocolate Original Sin base into barrels that had been used for aging maple syrup in Québec, Canada. The leftover syrup in the barrels gives a confectionary punch to this imperial stout. This is balanced out by tobacco and toasted oak notes from the wood which had originally been used for bourbon. A delicate note of maple syrup rounds out this complex and sinfully rich beer. Santé!
