Flanders Red
pFriem Flanders Red is a tribute to the Burgundies of Belgium, the red ales that once captivated the country. Each glass is rich with notes of cherry, hints of passionfruit and a Pinot-like flavor that comes from the eighteen months it spent in an oak barrel. Take one sip, savor the tart finish and you’ll understand how one beer could charm a country.
Bière De Saison Pacifica
A saison brewed with the Kernel's house culture, fermented in a foeder, and dry hopped with Pacifica. 4.5-5.5% abv. Malted barley, wheat, oats. A mixed-fermentation with a combination of yeast and bacteria. May be a blend of beers fermented or aged in oak barrels or foeder. Dry with complex acidity and aroma varying batch to batch. Can be dry-hopped or re-fermented with whole fruit, such as damsons, quince or apricots.
Griffon Bruxellois (2017)
We debuted Griffon Bruxellois in 2012 at a few of our events and it was quite a hit. It returns in 2017 - in bottles and on draft - from Bruery Terreux. This balanced, sour brown ale was aged in oak barrels with cherries, giving it a soft, tart fruit flavor to compliment the subtle dark fruit notes and gentle tannic complexity. Its ripe nature is tempered by its calming barrel-aged character. It not just a rewarding trip for the senses... it's a trip down memory lane.
Beret
Beret is as artistic as those who wear its namesake cap. Our brewers developed a silky, full-bodied wheat ale which we began fermenting with our house yeast strain. To finish the fermentation, we added our collection of barnyard bacteria, intended to slowly sour the ale, bringing out a slight funk and refreshing piquancy. Finally, a small dose of pureed raspberries were added for just a hint of fruity tannins, putting the berry in Beret.
Stakk – Farmer’s Reserve
Nøkle vendur kan ein blande i hop mange ingrediensar frå nabolaget uppi ei gamal eiketønne frå Italia. Det kan vera honning, morellur, rabarbra og øl. Sø let ein det stande og putre ei beite, burtimot to år el nøkø. Sø dreg ein på seg bunaden, tek eit stev, ein dans og krukar litt fe å feire at detta smaka ømla gøtt. Når ein æ færig, æ det på’n att mæ arbeid som før. Helsing frå Telemark (ikkje Vestfold).
